Guide to Serve Opportunities

Serve in Honduras with the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) 

We have a variety of mission opportunities available including medical/dental/vision clinics, sports activities, sewing workshops, clean water initiatives and construction. We also offer educational opportunities such as English as a Second Language (ESL), youth/women/men bible study, children’s vacation bible school, and church leadership training. What is United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM)?

UMVIM is the short-term mission agency of the United Methodist Church. UMVIM volunteers are lay and clergy, of all different ages, with various abilities and occupations. If you are involved in outreach as a member of a United Methodist Church, then you are an UMVIM volunteer!

We come together through the United Methodist Church so everyone may offer their skills and talents for Christian service locally and internationally. We match each volunteer or team with opportunities so everyone can participate in mission. We believe that anyone that has the heart and willingness to serve can be part of God’s mission.

If you have not served with us already, start by submitting the initial request form for yourself or your team. If you have already served with us, please complete the UMVIM Honduras data form by clicking on the button and downloading it. The data form must be completed and emailed to the UMVIM Honduras coordinator at least 30 days prior to your trip if possible.
